Local Team

Vegetation Mapping

  • Prior to field survey review in detail the 1995 and 2002 Daley Ranch biological reports

  • Review additional databases (e.g. MHCP, CNDDB, CDFW)

  • Create preliminary basemap of vegetation communities

  • Ground-truthing survey

  • Possibly deployment of sUAS teams

Rare Plant Surveys and Data Analysis

  • Review relevant databases & literature resources

  • Two focused surveys for special-status plant species in the project area and a 50-foot buffer during the spring and early summer

  • Particular emphasis for the ten sensitive plant species known to occur at the bank

Wildlife Surveys and Data Analysis

  • Desktop survey of wildlife occurrences within 5 miles of Daley Ranch

  • Inventory of suitable habitat for species with potential to occur

  • Document incidental observations of all wildlife species and their sign

  • Combine wildlife surveys with other assessment events to maximize efficiency
