Grandview Project Overview

Utility scale solar converts energy from the sun to clean, renewable electricity for use in homes and communities. Solar technology is simple, scalable, and provides great flexibility for the future of the grid. As a daytime power source, solar helps meet electricity demand during peak demand hours.

Overview

The proposed Grandview Solar Project is an approximately 250-megawatt (MW) alternating current utility-scale solar energy facility and an approximately 250-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in a rural area of Pueblo County. This Project would encompass approximately 1,930 acres of privately-owned land. When completed, the Grandview Project will interconnect at a to-be-built switching station along Segment 4 (Harvest Mile to Tundra) of the Clean Power Pathway operated by Xcel Energy. If approved, the Project would be anticipated to begin construction in the middle of 2026 with commercial operation targeted by the end of 2027.
